Fitzpatrick Coaching Solutions was founded by cousins Emily Dippel and Erick Knickerbocker—two lifelong coaches and educators united by a shared passion for leadership, culture, and building successful teams. From the field to the track, the classroom to the workplace, their mission is to help individuals and organizations develop strong cultures, empower leaders, and achieve sustained success.

Erick Knickerbocker

Head Football Coach at Rockville High School

Erick Knickerbocker is entering his 8th season as the Head Football Coach at Rockville High School, where he has led the program to four state semifinal appearances, two trips to the state finals, and three league championships. Since taking over a program that had endured 15 straight losing seasons, Knickerbocker has guided the Rams to the state playoffs every year. In addition to football, he also coaches track and field, teaches history, and is committed to building a culture rooted in toughness, honor, commitment, and family.

Emily Dippel

Head Track & Field Coach at Worcester Polytechnic Institute

Emily Dippel started her coaching journey as an Athletic Trainer–recognizing the need for holistic support in athletics and leading her to pursue a Masters in Sport Psychology and Motor Learning at the University of Tennessee-Knoxville. Emily is in her second year as Head Track & Field Coach at Worcester Polytechnic Institute (WPI), where she was named East Region Men’s Coach of the Year after leading the Engineers to the NEWMAC Championship team title. Under her leadership, WPI also tied a program-best team finish of third place at the New England DIII Championships. Emily brings extensive collegiate coaching experience, with a focus on athlete development, team culture, and championship-level performance.
